Announcement on Cooling-off Period for Newly Opened Individual MYR and Foreign Currency Savings and Current Account  

Dear Valued Customer,

Please be informed that with effective from 1 June 2025, we will implement a Cooling-off Period for newly opened individual MYR and Foreign Currency Savings and Current Account with cut off period as below:

a. New account opened before and on 4 pm – customer can use the account on next day (T+1)

b. New Account opened after 4 pm – customer can use the account on the day after tomorrow (T+2). 

The Cooling-off Period for newly opened MYR and Foreign Currency savings and current account (‘CASA’) serves as a security measure to safeguard customer against financial crimes such as mule account activities and scams. During the Cooling-off Period, no transactions (including deposits, withdrawals or fund transfers) will be allowed.

This is in line with our continued efforts to enhance our customers’ account safety and security.
