Announcement on exchange service for the 4th Series CNY Banknote at Bank of China Kuala Lumpur Main Branch

Dear Customers,

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) have announced that the 4th Series of CNY banknotes (includes version 1980, version 1990 and version 1996) will be withdrawn from circulation on 1st of May 2018. In order to fulfil the requirement for the 4th Series of CNY banknotes exchange in Malaysia Market, Bank of China Malaysia has designated Kuala Lumpur Main Branch as centralized exchange point to provide exchange service for the 4th Series CNY Banknote and holders can exchange the 4th Series CNY Banknote from today onwards until 30th of April 2019.
