Announcement on Implementation of Regulatory Compliance Project of Common Reporting Standard (CRS) (With Effective from 1st July 2017)

Dear Valued Customers,

Under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) for the Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information, Malaysian Financial Institutions are required to collect and report to Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), financial account information on non-residents.

The data collected may be transmitted by IRBM for the exchange of similar information with the tax authorities of the participating countries.

With effect from 1st July 2017, all new account opening must complete a Self-Certificate form for the purpose of automatic exchange of financial account information.  Please be informed that it is your duty to report all changes in your tax residency status to the Bank.
