(Senior) Credit Risk Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Locally hired in one of our Southeast Asian Entities

  • Experienced in credit approval, familiar with regional conglomerates and industry-leading large local corporates
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, industry trends and credit facility structure for large corporate clients and prepare due diligence reports to support credit decision making
  • Work closely with relationship managers, product teams, and other internal units to structure credit facilities and align on credit risk strategies.
  • Familiar with local and group level regulatory requirements and compliance checking requirements, consistently adheres to internal policy requirements
  • Support drafting or review of credit risk management policy and by-industry credit guidelines
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to promptly identify and resolve risk and control issues.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and auditing tasks related to credit risk.
  • On-the-job training will be offered to successful candidates to take a short-term assignment at Bank of China (Hong Kong), and returning to the original hiring country / transferring to other Southeast Asian entities depending on business needs after the secondment.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above with major in Risk Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
  • 5 years or above relevant work experience in credit risk assessment.
  • Managerial experience is preferred.
  • Professional qualifications in Financial Analysis / Risk Management are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of macroeconomics, loan markets, public debt instruments, and industry developments affecting large corporate clients.
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and local language in Malaysia to convey complex economic and financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with market information tools such as Bloomberg and LSEG Workspace is also preferred.
  • Willing to work under pressure with strong self-initiative.
