(Senior) Product Manager, Trade Finance
Job Responsibilities:
Locally hired in one of our Southeast Asian Entities
- Responsible for the product innovation, development, process optimization, promotion and daily management of trade finance-related products in transaction banking; enriching product functions, uplifting customer experience, and driving the development of trade finance business.
- Responsible for research and analysis in product, function, channel, and digital transformation development; collecting dynamics from peer banks and fintech companies for benchmarking, to maintain the competitive advantage of our bank’s products and channels in the market.
- Responsible for due diligence work on trade finance-related products, including on-site and off-site survey and audit, to support the delivery of related products.
- Responsible for communication and cooperation with various external institutions such as credit insurance and fintech companies, in order to promote the development, innovation, and optimization of trade finance-related products and businesses.
- Responsible for regional product management, training, and promotion of trade finance-related products transaction banking in Southeast Asia, supporting product innovation, development, and business growth for Southeast Asian institutions.
- Responsible for functional optimization of trade finance-related systems and channels in transaction banking, including drafting system requirement, process transformation, regional business management, user testing, and follow-up on production issues.
- On-the-job training will be offered to successful candidates to take a short-term assignment at Bank of China (Hong Kong), and returning to the original hiring country / transferring to other Southeast Asian entities depending on business needs after the secondment.
Requirements:
- Degree holder with major in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Fintech or related disciplines.
- 5 years+ working experience in trade finance products in Banking is preferred.
- Experience in handling local Corporate clients and/or Banking clients.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Relevant working experience in domestic commercial banks and / or regulatory bodies in Southeast Asian countries is an absolute advantage.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English and local language in Malaysia. Chinese is an advantage.
- Willing to travel and rotate in Southeast Asian regions.
