DuitNow, a national initiative supported by PayNet to modernize Malaysia’s retail payments to facilitate and drive innovation in e-Payments.

DuitNow Transfer

DuitNow offers two (2) types of payments: Pay-to-Account Number and Pay-to-DuitNow ID. Both of the functions are available via BOCM’s Internet Banking (BOCnet) and Mobile Banking anytime, anywhere.

a)Pay-to-Account Number

Pay-to-Account Number is whereby transactions are addressed using the account information of Recipients. Steps to transfer are as follow:

Step 1 - Logon to BOCnet/Mobile Banking App

Step 2 - Under Transfer and Remittance tab, select Payout Account and click “New Payee”. Select “Other Domestic Banks” follow by “Credit Transfer”. Select “Recipient’s Bank Name” from the drop down list and key in “Account Number”.

Step 3 - Key in “Payment Amount” and select “Payment Type” and “Receive Account Type” from the drop down list and key in “Recipient’s Reference & Postscript”.

b)Pay-to-DuitNow ID 

Pay-to-DuitNow ID enable you to send and receive funds almost instantly from one participation to another – just by using the most remembered number – mobile, NRIC, passport or Business Registration Number. Steps to transfer are as follow:

1. How to register my DuitNow ID?

Step 1 - Logon to BOCnet/Mobile Banking App

Step 2 - Look for “DuitNow Registration Info Management” under DuitNow menu tab

Step 3 - Perform a one-time registration by linking your IDs (such as mobile number, NRIC, passport number) with any of your BOCM account to receive money

2. How to transfer money?

Step 1 - Logon to BOCnet/Mobile Banking App

Step 2 - Look for “DuitNow” under DuitNow menu tab

Step 3 - Enter the recipient’s ID and confirm the transfer details. Money will be transferred to the Beneficiary’s account instantly

3. How to receive money?

Step 1 - Ensure that you have registered your DuitNow ID with BOCM

Step 2 - Share your DuitNow ID to a payer and receive payments instantly

DuitNow QR

DuitNow QR is a contactless, hassle-free and secure instant fund transfer service. You can make payments at DuitNow QR merchants, just lookout for the pink DuitNow QR logo at the merchant counter. Or send funds to your peers by scanning DuitNow QR codes.

* DuitNow QR is Malaysia’s National QR standard established by PayNet under Bank Negara Malaysia’s Interoperable Credit Transfer Framework (ICTF).

** This service is only available for Personal customers (including e-Pocket holders) with Mobile Banking app access.

How to DuitNow QR?

Step 2 - Scan Merchant’s/Peer’s QR Code

Step 3 - Key in amount to pay

Step 4 - Ensure the details displayed are correct and key in eToken complete the transaction.

DuitNow Request

A service that allows you to send digital payment request to collect funds or receive payment request from a payer. You can send requests through the payer’s DuitNow ID such as Mobile Number, NRIC, Passport Number, Army/Police ID Number or Bank Account Number. DuitNow Request service is available via BOCnet Internet Banking and Mobile Banking app.

How to initiate a payment request?

Step 1 – Login to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app, select “DuitNow” and follow by “DuitNow Request”

Step 2 – Select “Make a DuitNow Request” and fill in the required information

Step 3 – Confirm the DuitNow Request details

How to approve a payment request?

Step 1 – SMS notification will be sent to you. Login to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app and select “DuitNow Request”

Step 2 – Click on the request you would like to approve and select “Approve” and “Payment Account”

Step 3 - Confirm the DuitNow Request details and key in eToken/SMS OTP for authentication purpose. You will receive SMS notification once your account has been debited.  

How to initiate multiple request?

Step 1 – Login to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app, select “DuitNow” and follow by “DuitNow Request”

Step 2 – Select “Make a DuitNow Request” and fill in the required information

Step 3 – Select “Add Payer” and select from “Favourite” or “New Payer”. Fill in the required information of the Payer added

Step 4 – Confirm the DuitNow Request details

DuitNow AutoDebit

A service that allows you as the Payer to schedule or authorize Merchants to earmark and/or collect funds either recurring and/or ad-hoc payments with a pre-established consent in place. DuitNow AutoDebit service is available via BOCnet Internet Banking and Mobile Banking app.

DuitNow AutoDebit services offers 2 methods of fund collection:

a. Recurring Payments:

Allows you to schedule recurring by daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly with Merchant for the purpose of collecting payment from you.

b. Ad-hoc Payments (Each Transaction):

(i) Allows Merchants to collect ad-hoc DuitNow AutoDebit payment by each transaction from you for the purpose of you purchasing of goods or services from Merchants

(ii) Allows Merchants to collect ad-hoc DuitNow AutoDebit payment by each transaction from you on a pre-authorised amount for the purpose of Merchant collecting payment for services rendered to you. This method is mainly to cater for payments where the amount is not finalized at the point of purchase.

How to initiate a DuitNow AutoDebit registration with Merchant?

Step 1 – Login to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app, select “DuitNow” and follow by “DuitNow AutoDebit”

Step 2 – Select “Set Up/Register AutoDebit” and select your preferred debiting account

Step 3 – Select “Merchant” from the Merchant List and “Product” from the Product List, you wish to pay for. Choose the preferred “Frequency” of payment.

Step 4 - Confirm the DuitNow AutoDebit registration details and key in eToken/SMS OTP for authentication purpose. You will receive SMS notification when Merchant approves, rejects or blocked the registration request.

How do you approve a DuitNow AutoDebit registration request?

Step 1 – SMS notification will be sent to you. Login to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app and select “DuitNow AutoDebit”

Step 2 – Click on the request you would like to approve and select “Approve”.

Step 3 - Confirm the DuitNow AutoDebit registration details and key in eToken/SMS OTP for authentication purpose.

How to perform AutoDebit Redirect?

Step 1 – Select “Register DuitNow AutoDebit” in Merchant page.

Step 2 – Select “DuitNow AutoDebit”. Select “Bank of China” from the list and you will be redirect to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app* log in page.

Step 3 – Log in BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app*. View AutoDebit Registration details, select “Approve” and debiting account. Confirm the payment information and input eToken/SMS OTP for authentication purpose. You will receive SMS notification when Merchant approves, rejects or blocked the registration request.

DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets 

DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets is a convenient and secured online payment solution that allows real-time debiting of your BOCM account and direct crediting into the merchant's account. DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets service is available via BOCnet Internet Banking and Mobile Banking app*.

How to make payment?

Step 1 – When you are at Merchant page, click on “Checkout/Place Order/Payment Method”

Step 2 – Select “DuitNow Online Banking/Wallets”. Select “Bank of China” from the list and you will be redirect to BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app* log in page.

Step 3 – Log in BOCnet Internet Banking/Mobile Banking app*. View the payment details, select “Approve” and debiting account. Confirm the payment information and input eToken/SMS OTP to complete the payment. You will receive SMS notification once your account has been debited.

Step 4- Select back to merchant, you will be directed to the Merchant page.
